Selection guidance

When this product direction fits

Thermal-management materials for equipment, pipework and building assemblies where heat-transfer control is required.

How this system differs

This series manages heat transfer; it does not replace a structural repair, leak repair or corrosion-control system where those problems are active.

What must be confirmed

Suitability depends on the actual substrate, medium, concentration, temperature cycle, exposure mode and application window. Final system selection and project-specific instructions require technical review.

Product features and advantages

Project application guidance

01

Confirm substrate condition, contamination, corrosion, defects and access before work starts.

02

Remove oil, dust and loose material; prepare cleanliness and profile to the reviewed product procedure.

03

Check compatibility of retained coatings and complete a representative trial area when the existing system is uncertain.

04

Prepare and mix only according to the product source; do not improvise ratio, thinner or pot life.

05

Build a continuous system in controlled layers, with special attention to edges, welds, joints and shadow zones.

06

Protect the applied area through curing, then inspect continuity, visible defects and recorded source-backed acceptance items.

Source-specific procedure

01

Surface Preparation

Metal: remove oil, rust, scale and old organic coatings; Sa 2.5 or St 3 for local repair. Non-metal: remove coke, dust and loose material.

02

Application Environment

5-60°C; relative humidity ≤85%; substrate at least 3°C above dew point.

03

Mixing

Single-component paste; stir thoroughly before use.

04

Application Tools

Brush, trowel, scraper or texture application.

05

Thickness per Coat

Build thickness in multiple coats; do not apply the full thickness in one pass.

06

Curing

Allow each coat to dry fully; minimum 72 h final drying before service.

Packaging, storage and transport

PackagingSingle pail, 20 kg
StorageCool, dry and ventilated area; 5-40°C
Shelf Life12 months
TransportProtect from unsuitable temperature and contamination

Quality checks

Check surface-preparation records, environmental conditions, layer continuity, edges, welds and visible defects. Use only acceptance criteria stated in the reviewed product or project documents.

Maintenance and repair

Inspect representative high-risk locations during planned maintenance. Clean the area, identify the cause of damage, feather sound edges and verify compatibility before local repair.

Scope and limitations

Suitability depends on the actual substrate, medium, concentration, temperature cycle, exposure mode and application window. Final system selection and project-specific instructions require technical review.
